This month is apple pie month, and I don’t know about all of you- but we here at Senske love ourselves some apple pie. Whether it is a summer pie cooling in the window sill, or a warm slice served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream at Thanksgiving, Apple pie has become a desired staple dessert for the American Culture, regardless of what time of the year it is. That being said, you may be shocked when you learn that apple pie was actually invented in Europe. Then later, the Dutch apple pie began making its way into people’s homes in the 15th century, served a la mode– of course. YUM!
This month we hope you get a little creative and try to perfect your own recipe and share it with your friends, family…or just yourself! 😉 I personally tried a caramel apple pie recipe last year and it turned out fabulous! Whatever your preference; granny smith-style, old-fashioned, or with a crumble on top, enjoy a piece of apple pie this month in honor of National Apple Pie Month!
Below, please find some popular recipes that we have found, shared by apple pie lovers like you and I. Bake on or Grub on everyone!
