Nest: In ground
CARPENTER
Color: Black, reddish or yellowish
3.4- 13mm
Nest: In decaying, hollow wood.
ODOROUS HOUSE ANTS
Color: Dark Brown or Black
Size: 2.4-3.3mm
Nest: Inside of walls and beneath floors
PAVEMENT ANTS
Color: Light brown or black
Size: 2.5-3mm
Nest: Under stones, near curbsides, and in pavement cracks
PHAROAH ANTS
Color: Light yellow, red and black markings
Size: 2mm long
Nest: Food service area or in well protected areas in structures. Outside in lawns and gardens.
