The holidays are a time for creating memories and spending time with family at this time are some of life’s most cherished moments. But for those serving our country away from home, the holidays can become a much more difficult time. At Senske, we acknowledge and appreciate the sacrifices that are made by those who serve our country. Therefore, we feel it is our honor to give back to these soldiers when we can.
Nominate A Military Service Family
The Senske Annual Decorated Family Program was developed by a former Senske branch manager who wanted to find a way to bring some cheer during the holidays into the homes of American soldiers serving overseas that would not be able to share in the holidays with their loved ones.
We began the Annual Decorated Family Program, in which one deserving military family would be chosen to receive complimentary professional light installation and take-down. The program involves gathering nominations that would be received through friends or family. These nominations are accepted for all military personnel; past or present. We gather these nominations until a set deadline and at that time, select a winner. We believe the best way to make someone’s holiday brighter is to furnish an entire home with Christmas decorations. Since the beginning, the program has greatly progressed, now reaching about 200 families annually.
We are all familiar with the old saying, “It is better to give than to receive”, and at Senske, we truly believe the holiday season is all about giving. We are forever grateful for the willingness and bravery demonstrated by the American Military to keep us safe and free, and that is why we are so honored to be able to give back to these brave families this season. Being able to spread holiday cheer to the families of our servicemen and women is by far one of the greatest highlights of our year.
